So Far So Good

The department seems really in-tune to students and really helped in guiding incoming students to the curriculum. I receive e-mails regularly about opportunities available to further education by options like research assistants and so on.

Transportation

It'd be great if Knightlynx, the free bus had more hours and went to more locations. As a freshman and with no car it would help so much more getting familiar with the area and having fun off campus.

The regular lynx bus seems to overcharge.

University of Central Florida: Computers.

Our Student Government Association provides "free" printing of 20 sheets, double sided, black and white pages. The computer lab in which this happens is very nice, provides both mac and PC computers along with scanners, staplers, recycle bins, paper cutters, and other helpful materials. The computers are nice and clean, fast speed internet. Downside of this computer lab is it tends to get crowded at certain times of the day which results in long periods of waiting for a computer to open. SGA also provides an express printing lab, sessions are less than 10 minutes so if you need to print something fast, you get in and get out. They also suffer from overcrowding but the wait is not as long as the computer lab.

The library also has computers. The areas aren't that clean though, it's louder in there than the SGA computer lab. Printing black & white sheets is 10 cents.

UCF=Amazing

UCF facilities are fairly new compared to many schools. Most everything is very nice and clean. I feel the money in my tuition that goes towards these things is worth it. I'm happy to be attending such a nice school with so many opportunities. Being at UCF, yet alone Orlando is great. It's a big city but not overwhelming, it creates so many things to do. With campus clubs it's easy to get involved and actually have a voice despite what it may seem going to school with 58,000 other students. It's a fun place to be.

Parking

I don't have my car on campus! From what I hear there aren't too many complaints. Parking changes for Game Days and it doesn't seem like a huge issue.

UCF's "Diversity"

I'm a minority and I haven't run into any problems with a lack of acceptance. The school is the 2nd largest in the country but it's predominantly white. There are tons of clubs though that cater to a wide range of people; supporting those different beliefs, ethnicities, religions, political beliefs, sexual orientation, etc.

Food

Meal plans are way too expensive, and not worth the money as many have said. better to make/cook your own food. Eating out options include Subway, Sbarro's, variety of asian foods, Qdoba, chick-fil-a, greek restaurant and more.
