About Average

My first semester at Kent has proved to be very standard as far a freshman experience goes. The classes are relatively small sized and the professors are for the most part understanding and helpful. The "Kent Core" classes are pretty easy for the most part. Registering can get a little crazy, but it all works out somehow. There are tons of resources on campus and online for people struggling in their courses. (Library study groups, free tutors, a writing lab, etc.)

At Least They Try!

The Kent State football team is not the best team to expect a lot of wins from. Ive heard that we are better at basketball.

Even Freshman Dorms Are Nice!

I really love my dorm, I live in Korb Hall which is right across the street from Eastway Center. Korb has both air conditioning and private bathrooms. It is coed by room so if you are female, your neighbors may be males, but it's a good way to make friends. The rooms aren't too small and there are a lot of ways to organize them to maximize space. Dorms in Eastway aren't bad either, they may not have air conditioning, but you really only need air for the first month of school. The rooms are a good size and have plenty of good ways to configure furniture. The only negative of the dorms is that they are not always the cleanest buildings, but they're really not that bad overall.
