Extremely Safe
Unlike many of the other UC campuses, there are no riots or anything keeping us from getting to class or anyone threatening to harm us. We are also in La Jolla, which is extremely wealthy and safe, so walking around campus even at night isn't something to be afraid of.

Bioengineering
If you want to get into this major, apply from high school! They make it pretty impossible to transfer into any of the impacted majors once you are already a student. Bioengineering at UCSD is one of the best in the country, so it's worth it to apply!

So Many Options!!!
Right off campus there are a ton of relatively cheap restaurants such as BJs, Pho La Jolla, and Yummy Box but there are also pricier and nicer options in downtown La Jolla. There are also affordable options on campus such as Tapioca express, Panda Express and a 24 hour Burger King! Go to Rigobertos if you get the chance and eat some carne asada fries! They are amazing!
