Undecideness
Haverford is perfect for Freshman who have a vast variety of interests. The school is Liberal Arts which means they value breadth not depth, at least until you declare your major right before Junior Year. It's actually best that you don't come in with a set mind on what you want to study. I mean, if you want to be Pre-Med, you can begin fulfilling those requirements but keep an open mind.

The Typical Haverman Is...
Not a short guy named Dan. Although, you will find some. The average guy is about 5' 8" and you do get "Haver-googles" after a while because the guys are not that cute. With that said, those who are have girlfriends or end up being you friends so you don't want to date them because they make such awesome friends. If you say some guy is "nice" you're describing the entire population because everyone is extremely nice and fun, quirky and funny. We are all weird and we accept it. There are defiantly cuties around but they are hard to come by. Now, for guys, this place is a gold mine because there are sooo many girls.

Haverbubble
This place is perfect. It's gorgeous, the people are all extremely smart and value academia (learning for the sake of learning) and quirky. We all recognize our faults and embrace it. It isn't out of the ordinary to see someone wearing something that would get the strangest look anywhere else and just thinking, "That person is so cool and confident for doing that." This place is like what you wish the world would be like. Students run everything. It's great.

So cute
One of the cutest things Haverford does is advertise by writing on the floors of the paths in front of the library and dining places in chalk. It is not uncommon to find out about a big event like a movement or a big dance or concert in this way. Just another one of the things that makes Haverford such a wonderful, quirky place.

The best education you could ever get
Our professors are phenomenal. Even the ones that annoy you are brilliant. People here study for the sake of learning, not for stupid tests. We still study hard for tests which are very hard but most Fords will agree that they came here to learn not to pass.
