Cultural Events
Lots of events downtown can be accessed via metrorail, for example, the Miami International Book Fair, ballet and plays at the Arscht Center for Arts, Concerts and Miami heat games at the American Airlines Arena. There are also a lot of active cultural groups around miami throwing cultural fairs

Not Fun for the Non-Party Goer
Many of the parties thrown or off campus at frat houses or people's apartments. Thursday nights and Weekend nights are known for the lines of taxis outside the residential halls. The nightlife are all centered off campus or in the "Grove", transportation via taxi. There's almost nothing to do on campus at night unless you go to parties. Clubs are expensive.

Hurry! Hurry Canes!
The shuttles have the silly names Hurry Canes and I wish they would hurry less and just have longer schedules. They stop running before the last class and the one that runs to the shopping areas are often late and limited to the weekends. There is also only one bus trip to the mall during the weekend and the bus has a very small route
