How do students in regular housing view the students in Honors College housing? Is there some kind of stigma attached to Honors housing?

No. The Honors College is open to just about anyone with the requisite GPA, so there's no special status, positive or negative, that you get by being in Honors housing. It really just makes it easier to get on-campus housing.

No stigma is attached. Honestly, I feel the honors kids miss out on alot of social events that occur with "regular" housing students.

Honors housing is good if you're very serious about your grades. Warning, the kids who live there are kind of nerdy, but I know people who live there and love it.

There is no big difference really. The general response is the recognition of intelligence to be in that position, which at a school like Pitt is not a bad thing. There is no dividing line or anything just because of the Honors College.

They view them as having very nice dorms

No. It is seen just as another dorm. Non honors students do not end up going there often however, so I guess it is slightly separated from the rest of the students.

Not at all! I loved living in Honors housing my freshman year. I was taking classes with a lot of people I lived with, which made it easier to form study groups.

Unless someone specifically says they are in Honors housing or you see them come out of Honors housing, you wouldn't even know that they were Honors. No one looks down on anyone living in Honors housing

There is no stigma or separatin in that line of thinking. Most kids don't even care.
