Eat-Eat-Eat
Campus itself is really safe, but the Memphis area isn't always safe. As long as you go with friends and aren't wandering, though, you are fine. There's a lot of great food in the area, of wide variety. Local attitude towards students is great and accepting-- especially with Christian Brothers University and Memphis University nearby.

So Many Options
There are so many great food options! You can get a wide variety of types of food, and costs of food. A big favorite is Central BBQ, which is both cheap and delicious. The Cooper-Young section of town is great, too; several different affordable restaurants and very familiar with students. You can find good health food places, fancy restaurants, casual restaurants. So much to chose!

Our school is definitely Greek-oriented for the social scene. However, they are not exclusive. You can not be Greek but still enjoy their parties. There isn't any Greek housing because we're too small of a school. Greeks and non-greeks get along great.
