Lawrence: Paradise in Kansas?
Driving through Lawrence, one will almost surely recognize it as a college town. With friendly restaurants, plenty of shopping around the famous Massachusetts Street, educational attractions at the museums on campus, and tons of activities going on at the Union (such as Free Bowling, cheap movies, social events, and much more!). There is plenty of opportunities to get involved with the community, events from ringing bells for the Salvation Army to serving/cooking food at the local Soup Kitchen. Lawrence is a very friendly town, where students are apart of the community and work with other citizens to maintain an enjoyable city!

Venturing Off Campus for a Mean?
If you're not wanting to eat the meals at the campus dining, try one of the dozens of other places in Lawrence! Driving down Mass Street one will see plenty of restaurants, such as Buffalo Wild Wings, Buffalo Bob's Barbecue, and more but there are plenty of other restaurants to eat all around town! Of course there are those quick fast food places but there are also my favorites: Steak and Shake, Five Guys, Jimmy John's and 23rd Street Brewery! There's always something good cooking in Lawrence, no matter what time.

Scholarships? More Like Loans!
The University of Kansas isn't a big scholarship granter, so looking elsewhere is a must! I only got a few scholarships outside of school so I had to apply for loans. KU does have a good loan program though! Plan ahead for what you need you end up paying out of pocket the differnce - not fun!
