Transportation for Students at Idaho State University

Here at Idaho State University, there are plenty of options you can choose to get to your destination of choice. On campus during major school hours, there are buses running from upper campus to lower campus all the time. Which is good because ISU is comprised of several different hills. There are also community buses that head to the mall, movie theaters and restaurants near that area and only cost 48 cents to ride. But watch out these buses stop their runs around 6 p.m.. Cheap bus passes are available to those who ride often enough. If a student wants to go home for the weekend, there are a select few charter buses that pick up students up at select areas and drop them off at their hometowns.

Majors at Idaho State University

Majors and Minors

Idaho State is a very academic focused school. They offer a wide variety of majors and minors.

My major is Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) a long name meaning Lab Technician in a hospital. So far I have really enjoyed my program and offered advice on how increase my chances of getting into their program. Each major and minor has a Professor or Doctor that is in charge of all that happens in that program.

For my program at least, the work load is hard but it is reasonable for what I need to know in the field. There is plenty of hands on work that we do. From what I've seen, there is a vast demand for med. tech. and the Doctor for my program has pointed out many of them for those about to graduate this year. I still have quite a ways to go before she starts pointing them out to me.
