Transportation
One of the few downsides of the school. There's a local bus that runs a couple nights per week and is free and goes to the Target and a few other spots in-town but otherwise transportation is difficult (nonexistent) unless you have a car. Permits are hard to get and you have to live a certain number of miles away from school to get one, and the location of the parking lots is really far away. There is a ten-dollar (each way) bus that goes to the twin cities a couple times per week tho.

Weather
Classes aren't far from the dorms and so winter's not too bad even though it is snowy for 4 months or so. People also go sledding with caf trays which is fun. Classes are rarely cancelled. In the fall/spring the campus is beautiful though, and people study outside in these huge wooden lawn chairs that are spread around the campus.

Scholarships
Freshman year it's hard to find a job if you don't have work study, but if you look around you can find non-work study jobs for the following year. If you have work study its not hard to get a job, and students work in the cafeteria, student-run cafe, staff the gym and library, work in specific academic departments, etc. A lot of people have some sort of financial aid or academic scholarship, and the school gives a lot of academic, theatre, community service and music scholarships (though the competition to get the bigger ones is slightly harder than at some less-academic schools, where I naturally got more money).
