How would you describe the fibers major? Like for assignments do you design on textiles?

I'm not a fibers major but its interesting and innovative. fibers is teaming up with the eco major and growing their own garden for natural dyes. friendly for the future.

Not a fibers major.

How generous would you say the financial aid is at Bryn Mawr?

It's good compared to other colleges, that being said it's not perfect. When they say they meet 100% of need, they mean they meet 100% of the need you have according to the formula they use. The formula they use it's always accurate, especially when accessing the needs of middle and working class families. This is true for A LOT of colleges though. Apply and see what they give you.

They were the most generous to me, they met 100% despite having a small loan each year.

Apologies! I meant to say their formula isn't always accurate.

How good would you rate the financial aid at Mills?

I would rate is as dependent on the student's financial situation.

FASFA has a formula to determine your financial need.

I agree with the comments above, but financial aid and undergrad admission is willing to work with you, to make sure that you are able to attend.

Would you say Scripps looks at reccomendations more than grades and test scores?

I wouldn't say that, no.

The grades are always number one factor for admission, then come scores, class rank and recommendations.

From the perspective of someone who was accepted in December, I would say that they do put a lot more emphasis on recommendations and essays than do many other college, as they are a small liberal arts colleges. Great recommendations will help your application immensely, even if your grades are lower. Grades are still the most important factor in the admissions process; but, if the process were solely based on grades I would not have been accepted. :)

On this page under 'applying' (left hand)it has what is most important for the admissions. The number one thing is GPA.
