Pretty Boring
Appleton is a pretty boring place, especially if you don't have a car. It's very easy to get stuck in the Lawrence bubble without getting off campus, but there's not much to do once you're off. The shops on College Avenue are quaint, and the Fox Cities PAC boasts its musicals, but, overall, there's almost nothing to do in Appleton.

We Have Athletics?
Other than having one friend on the track team, I virtually never hear about athletics at Lawrence. The football team is sad, especially considering I was raised to worship the pigskin. If you're looking for exciting athletics, Lawrence is not the place for you.

Not Really Enjoying Myself...
I'm transferring from Lawrence for a variety of reasons. The students are overall unmotivated, even though the professors are amazing. The general lack of amenities is absurd considering how expensive the education is. The social scene is virtually non-existent. The Lawrence bubble is overwhelming. Isolation is terrible, and suffocation is common.
