International Students Abound
While diversity is somewhat lacking, the International community at Scripps (and CUC as a whole) is huge. I have so many friends from all over the world, including France, Australia, Botswana, and Bangladesh!

Transportation a Breeze
Between cheap taxis, buses, the nearby train station (just at the edge of campus), Scripps vans, zip cars, and the village within walking distance, transportation is so easy here.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the D-Halls
There are 7 dining halls, each with their own delicious menus each night, which are posted on the school sites. The dining halls are also beautiful places to catch up with friends, and there is outdoor dining all year long.

You Don't Have to Be a Femi-Nazi to Go Here.
Don't let the prospect of feminist culture scare you away. Not only is it probably less pervasive than you might think, you may find yourself, like I did, participating in more pro-feminist activities than you expected-- and really enjoying it!

Guys When You Want Them.
I have plenty of guy friends (don't worry if you don't make them first semester) and dating prospects, but the close community of women in my dorm is so vital to my college experience.

Late Afternoon Sun on the San Gabriel Mountains
There's a late-afternoon pinkness to the desert. This picture doesn't do it justice, either. The mountains glow, like the sky is on fire, and everything is bathed in a rosy lavender.

Organic Garden at the Browning Dorm
You can help them grow or pick some up for eating! Many organic gardens and fruit trees are all over the 5Cs.
