Pretty Good
Downtown Berkeley is filled with different restaurants, from Japanese to Mediterranean to good ol' American. The downside to many of these restaurants are the price but they are usually worth it!

Do NOT Bring a Car
Parking is absolutely horrible! Even if you DO get a parking permit, which is outrageously expensive, for the garages. Since we're in downtown Berkeley, where it is always busy, parking would be tough to find, especially free ones. However, whether you live on or off campus, a car is not necessary because on-campus housing are close to campus and those off-campus can use the free bus.
