Architecture

This five and a half program is very vigorous and requires a lot of time management. Arch majors are known to always be in Bemis, the architecture building, doing work. I think the work is easy but you have to put in a of effort and take your time so that your projects look presentable. The curriculum is a minimum of 171 credits and requires students to study abroad in the summer after third year and do an internship in the summer after fourth year. I really enjoy what I'm doing and look forward to one day being an architect.

Local Atmosphere at Hampton University

A-

Mercury Blvd.

Mercury blvd., is where mostly everyone goes to do shopping, go to the movies, out to eat, or just to hang with friends. People also go to the Peninsula which is near by as well. There are a lot of promoters in the area so there's at least one party going on.

Diversity at Hampton University

A-

Ratio

Because Tampon is a HBCU, historically black college/university it's most African Americans that attend but is not limited to just that one race. There are Caucasians, Hispanics, Italians, and more. Hampton is a Christian school and has a Chapel on campus and does however have a higher girl to boy ratio.
