70-30
There are 70% guys here, a good number of them Greek, but mostly tech geek types. This large number of guys means there if you are a girl (as I am), you are more likely to find yourself making guy friends than girls. In terms of relationships, there is a disease known as TBS, or Tech B**** Syndrome, in which girls boss guys around because they know that there are others waiting. Otherwise, Georgia Tech is pretty much like any other college, just with an increased number of geeks. But we're ok with that.

Not My Scene
Not being Greek, I can only really give you the perspective of non-Greeks on Greeks. Greeks throw the parties, hold events, etc... However they all seem to fit the stereotype. Sorority girls, always move in groups, giggling over nothing, blond locks flowing over their overly tanned face. Frat boys are all buff, wearing their hats backwards and playing frisbee with their shirts off. Very stereotypical.

Stingers!
Transportation around campus is free, since we live in the middle of Atlanta and there is danger walking around campus at night. The Stinger bus provides transport during the day, and Stingerettes are there at night. We also have the Tech Trolley, which travels to the train stations and local grocery store just outside of campus. It's a very nice system.

What's the Good Word?!
The Georgia Tech community is very school spirited. Campus completely closes down the day of a football game as everyone prepares to have a good time and cheer on the team. Our athletic facility is also pretty amazing, as it was built for use in the Atlanta Olympics. There is also a wide variety of IM sports, such as soccer or rugby, and clubs for pretty much anything you can think of.

Invisible to Me.
I don't do drugs or drink or anything like that, so as an outside all I can say is that if it exists, I don't really see it.

A Wonderful Place to Be.
Of course the workload at Georgia Tech can get stressful beyond belief, but there are certain moments on campus when I'm really glad I attend such a difficult school. There are plenty of intelligent people to spend your day with, but not to the point of lacking a social life. There is always something to do, whether it is sports or clubs, and the school spirit is really kind of amazing for so stressful of a school. There is a joke about Tech: You can only have two of the following three things - sleep, grades, or a social life. Your choice. And it is kind of funny how true that joke is. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful place to be.
