I Think a Lot of These Reviews Are Outdated
Even though it is a Catholic university, diversity is certainly growing. There are people of all different religions, races, and views. SJU has new international programs which are bringing in foreign students. There is also a large GLBTQ community, which to me was surprising but very comforting. SJU is one of the most open-minded and still truly Catholic university I've seen.

City Transportation= Great , School Transportation = Iffy
Public Transportation for getting around the city is so close and convenient. The train station is a block away and on several occasions I've gotten free rides. There are a lot of different buses that run all the time and stop right on campus. I'm not crazy about the school's shuttle and escort system though. Shuttles are somewhat unreliable. It's better to call ahead of time to make sure they're actually stopping where you are. Escorts are hard to get.
