On Campus Housing
Because parking is terrible, living on campus is definitely a good choice whether you're a freshman or a senior. Alumni is always a nice place to live because it's location. You're close to two dining halls as well as most liberal arts buildings, the Co-Op and the gym. It's central location makes it convenient.

Greek Life
Coming form a non-Greek, Greek life definitely has a major presence on campus, but not to the point where it's overwhelming.

Inside Scoop
For the most part, everyone is genuinely happy to be here. Everyone bleeds blue and white and is proud to be a Husky. If you want to be anonymous you can, but at the same time, you have opportunities to stand out in whatever you choose to do. The social scene is busy, but you can always find people who are just as happy to spend a night in watching "Friends" re-runs with you. In terms of academic programs, the business school gets the most attention, which I think tends to overshadow smaller departments such as journalism. At the same time, being in smaller departments allows you the chance to get to know people who share you major as well as develop a relationship with your professors. Concerning campus life, Storrs is a really small town, so it's up to you to make your fun.
