Registration Process
With student in college I always heard signing up for classes was a pain since the server always fails and the classes are always full. Even my advisor warned me that the classes I wanted were the most popular ones and it would be hard to get all of them. However, I ran into no such problems. The server never failed on me and I was able to sign up for all the classes I wanted to with no problems in 5 minutes. Made the process very easy.

Health and Wellness Dorms
The health and wellness dorms are the substance free dorms. I know hearing that people can be hesitant to consider living in them but it offers several benefits. The rooms are larger than any other dorm rooms on campus plus they have walk-in closets. Also, there are treadmills and ellipticals in the basement which no other dorm on campus offers and it has the largest recreation room in addition to a lounge with sofas, a television, piano, and a fireplace.

Houses
There are really too many choices for off campus apartments, but if you can find a group of people it is fairly easy to rent a house off. The only problem with renting a house is that usually they are a 5 minute drive away from campus, so you would need a car to live off campus.

Clubs
There are a lot of night clubs in downtown Portland and you can take the free shuttle that the school offers. Most of the time though, students throw their own parties at students' houses off campus.

FAFSA
Make sure you fill out the FAFSA form every year. Most students have some kind of financial aid, and are given work study. It is pretty easy to find a job on campus if you have work study.
