Public Transportation isnt very big in Utah. It is improving but it has a long way to go. As such, everyone uses cars and that creates a problem for parking. There could always be more parking at BYU.
Academics at BYU are above average. The LDS culture puts a great emphasis on learning and teaching and it reflects at BYU.
In the LDS culture academics are HUGE. There is a great emphasis on the quality of teaching. It reflects at BYU and the teaching is superb.
I usually eat at the same places: Subway, Taco Bell, Quiznos, Jamba Juice etc... There are a lot of options but they are not always in locations that people commonly travel. If you are willing to look you can find ANYTHING you could ever want.
All four seasons are here in Utah. The skiing is great if that is what you are into.
Perfect School – If you are looking for a school where learning and serving is the focus and not partying and getting drunk... then BYU is the perfect school for you. The focus is on serving others with what you learn. the motto is "Enter to Learn, Go Forth to Serve." So true.
Just Qualify – BYU gives automatic scholarships as long as you can qualify with the minimum GPA for your major. My current major allows me to have a 3.65 GPA for a half scholarship. It makes all the difference.
Unlike Anywhere Else – Pure excitement and focus on learning. Best school
