Safe, but Still Watch Your Back
CSUN is generally a safe place to walk, however, there have been incidents of people coming off of our public campus to flee police or to threaten the safety of the students. Luckily, CSUN has a great police station on campus and an organization that will walk students to their dorms or cars (for night classes only) at your request.

Financial Aid
I'll give this section an A- because as long as you get the correct info to CSUN's financial aid office ON TIME, they will always make sure you get what you need. They now have a system like "direct deposit"--as soon as your aid money is available, it can be in your bank account. Could do with a little more smiles in the financial aid office, but other than that, it's pretty fast and easy.

Mike Curb (Arts) Alumni
Arts/Media/Journalism has a lot of pull on campus--the college of Mike Curb is great, there are a lot of options for every specific major and the majority of the faculty is great, and willing to help you beyond the classroom.
