The City of Merced
Merced is a small but comfortable town to live in, the atmosphere is very pleasant and the people are always kind and willing to lend a hand. Downtown Merced is peaceful and a great place to get away from the demanding schedule of college. Merced is known as the gateway to Yosemite National Park, which is a great incentive to get away and get in touch with the beauty of nature. Also next to the school is Lake Yosemite which is ideal place to hangout after class.

The dorms at UC Merced are very nice and are a pleasant place to live, I have nothing bad to say about it. Everything you need is provided, and the internet is very good.

Guys and Girls
Since there are no sports, the guys and girls are more geared toward learning. Due to their interest in school the students at Merced are chill and laid back. There are diverse and dedicated students who just want to have fun in college while pursuing their education for their intended career.
