Computers
there were plenty of computer labs on campus but they were mostly empty because for some reason- students didn't know they existed! LOL. Lucky for me, I did so I made ample use of them when I had to print stuff. In the computer lab I used the most- The Chicana/o Computer lab, we had a 10pg printing limit but they don't check so I always printed way more. I think I printed a 25pg paper there once followed by that paper's 5 page works cited. LOL. But it's all good, I also paid in a lot of resources to that department so I think I more than covered myself for my excessive printing. Oh, and you also have to provide your own paper at most printing labs. And there is free unlimited printing in a computer lab near the USU but no one goes there because it's so far from any classroom buildings- super out of the way.

Dorms Are Awesome!
The dorms are apartment style and very roomy but you get cheap CA prison made furniture that isn't very comfy and you usually don't get to pick your roommates, which can be a problem but I had amazing luck with wonderful roommates that became great friends when I was there. There are no single rooms available so you will always have to share your room but it was a nice experience for me living there though my last two years there, I preferred off campus housing.

Drugs on Campus
I hate drugs and I'm not into any illicit drugs but if you want them, they can't be too hard to find.Especially pot.That is super accessible if you know people that do them and it can't be that hard to find them. But you don't see them blatant on campus, which is nice.

I had the most WONDERFUL experience at CSUN
I know a lot of people have rated this university poorly but your experience here really is what you make of it. At CSUN I found a thriving campus life with people passionate about what they were involved in with campus clubs and organizations. I found caring, dedicated, passionate professors who became my mentors and best friends and whose families I came to know and love. I found a wonderful network of motivated individuals from working class families who now as CSUN graduates have amazing jobs and help connect both alumni and current students with job and internship opportunities (myself included). At CSUN I worked with some of the best minds in my fields and learned more than I ever dreamed of learning. I was a double major in Political Science and Chicana/o Studies and I really felt like I belonged to a wonderful and encouraging campus community. Because of my CSUN education I have grown to the person, community organizer, and professional that I have always hoped to be and I graduated in 2009 with my 2 BA's. So, the experience really is what you make of it. In college, you just have to be your own advocate and seek out the resources and opportunities the campus has to offer. Once you contact them, they will do your best to help you or refer you to help. So, if you're interested in coming here- go for it! :) I spent the best years of my life here and made the most amazing friends.
