Campus Safety
The Neighborhood Surrounding Santa Clara University is extremely safe. Walking alone at night to get food, or going home from a friends house raises little concern with almost anyone you talk to. The police department is near by, and there seems to be a constant police present in the area. In addition, the schools security is always on patrol, both on and off campus. There are the occasional suspicious characters on characters, and the seldom bike theft, however the students at SCU feel a sense of security at all times, no matter what time of day it is

Get Your Tanks Out
Being in the state of California, tank tops are some what mandatory. If its sunny and above 70 degrees, (which it usually is), you will have trouble finding sleeves around campus. The weather in Santa Clara is warm from the beginning of march till around late october. It never gets bellow 40 in the winter, and you can expect rain from december to early feburary. Compared to most schools in the country this is phenomenal weather, except if you go to school in San Diego or Florida.
