Developing Urban College Town
Rochester is overall not a very big city in terms of attractions for the average college student. There are definitely hidden beauties throughout the school, and its filled with so much amazing history. Its an up and coming city, slowly things have developed around the campus that are meant to encourage more collegiate attractions, and I think they're doing a great job. Rochester has Eastman school of music, which is a great place for concerts, and performances any given night. The bustling student community really does make for a lot of action and excitement on any given weekend.

Lots of Selection
Off campus housing is pretty prominent around the city. I'm living off campus for my first time, and i couldn't be more excited. The area around the school is not necessarily the safest, but the school does an amazing job about making that not be a total problem for the average student and house.

School Buses Are the Best
U of R is really pretty remarkable in terms of the shuttle system. not always the MOST reliable, but they definitely prevail over other schools and public transport. The school is really good at getting students to off campus resources, like the grocery store, target, etc.
