Safe, State-Of-The-Art and Smack in the Middle of Boston
All of the Emerson facilities are within a 2-3 block area on the southeast corner of Boston Common. The buildings are either new, like the gorgeous Paramount Theater Center, or have been renovated and kept in good shape throughout the years. All classrooms are technologically advanced and have computer-linked projectors. The library is located in one of the main classroom buildings, and the gyms and fitness centers are all located inside dorm buildings. Everything is right next to each other, which is extremely convenient since we are a city campus, and everything is right on the beautiful Boston Common and Garden. Each building has a security system, and an Emerson I.D. is needed so students are entirely safe.

Head Out Into the City
Emerson itself has no nightlife, but there are plenty of 18+ clubs as well as house/apartment parties around the city. Be wary, Boston subways/trolleys (the T) shut down at midnight, and cabs are annoyingly sparse and expensive.

Where I Belong
In what I've viewed, you either love it or hate it. After freshman year, you either transfer or don't want to go home for the summer. I personally fit right in. I love living in the city, where there's always something to do, and there's always people to meet. There are upwards of 50 colleges in the Boston area, so if you love the classes but not the people, head over to Berklee or B.U. or Northeastern or Harvard or M.I.T. or Suffolk... the list goes on. All programs and majors are wonderful, the staff is great, the classes are enjoyable and overall, this school is just amazing.
