OK for the First Few Years..

Trinity has three dining halls on campus. Mather Hall which is buffet style is decent, you can always find something to eat whether a salad, pizza or pasta. The Cave is fine for a quick bite but the Bistro is by far the best having a pretty extensive salad bar, deli and hot sandwich bar.

As a vegetarian I have some complaints about variety but I'm definitely not starving. Chartwells (our caterer) is pretty flexible and willing to listen to suggestions.

Attractive Partiers

The student body as a whole is very attractive. Guys are athletic and preppy, and though its hard to sift through the sea of douchebags, it is possible to find a quality group to hang out with (though finding a quality guy to date is a little harder). Girls take pride in the way they look - you will rarely see someone going to class in sweatpants unless they are on their way to the gym. The style at Trinity is definitely preppy although there is a growing niche of hipster/alternative types due to the popularity of the art/music house on campus. There is a lack of "dating" culture at Trinity. Late-Night encourages hooking up without commitment. That's not to say there aren't any couples but guys at Trinity don't really understand the idea of courting someone - they don't have to work hard to find someone to hook up with.

Best Four Years

It is true that your first year at Trinity can be tough - there is a huge degree of separation between freshman and everyone else. This is partially because freshman take most of their classes with other freshman and the school doesn't allow you to join Greek life until Sophomore year (which really works to the student's benefit). But if you can get past the hurdles of freshman year Trinity is one of the best schools around. The general motto is work harder, play way harder. While Greek life definitely dominates the campus social scene there are many alternatives such as a music/art house which puts on concerts once a month and has many other events. There is always something to do on campus at Trinity and the party doesn't stop til the early morning hours. The academics at Trinity are unbeatable. The professors are eager to help students, especially those who put in even the smallest effort. Trinity's campus is beautiful, especially in the Spring.
