A Safe College Atmosphere

The University of Miami takes great lengths to ensure that the campus is safe for all students. There are emergency phones scattered around campus in case a student needs security help and does not have a phone. There is also an emergency system that sends voicemails and emails with information if there ever any breach in security on or around campus. It's very helpful. As at any campus, there was a few minor problems. There emergency phones are great but not as abundant as they should be. There are large expanses on campus where there is no phone and sight and that is worrisome. Also, additional lighting would be nice. There are a few places where the lighting is fine and others that are pitch black at the right time of night. In general, I feel very safe on campus.
