Drugs Mostly in Frat Houses
Drug use is somewhat prevalent among certain frat houses. Outside of these, use of marijuana and alcohol consumption is common and readily available to those who seek it, as I would imagine the case would be at any college.

Socially Tolerant, Academically Strict
In terms of the social scene, Emory tends to be tolerant as long as no one is making a scene and no one is being harmed. Protests and demonstrations are allowed as long as one follows the guidelines previously set forth by the school. Academically, the school is very strict about integrity issues and will press honor council charges very readily on seemingly-undeserving students.

Four Seasons
While attending Emory, I have gotten to experience what it is like having four seasons in the year. Coming from Texas, this was quite a new experience for me. The summers are relatively pleasant compared to home, although many Northeasterners find the heat and "humidity" intolerable (for those who live on the Gulf Coast, the weather is very bearable). On the flip side, I find the winters quite cold and windy.
