There's a Variety of Fff-Campus Housing.
Blacksburg has tons of apartment complexes, townhomes and house for rent, but you need to act fast in order to get the one you want. They can range in quality and price, but compared to most colleges, the prices are quite reasonable, ranging from approximately $325-550 per month. Some a are a bit far away, but most likely the Blacksburg Transit stop near or at your apartment.

Nothing Like VT Sports
Sports are a huge part of VT culture. We're known to be one of the loudest stadiums in college football. There's nothing better than a Thursday night game in Blacksburg. Basketball games are also fun when we have a good opponent. Excellent facilities too.

The Weather Is Nuts
Never trust a weather forecast for Blacksburg. Always be prepared. Fall is definitely the nicest - usually in the 60's. Winters are freezing! It usually snows a couple of times. Spring is nice but still a bit chilly. But the weather is crazy. The winds are the worst part since VT is in the mountains. Last year it was 78 Monday and it flurried Tuesday.

Strict, Like They Should Be
VT is in a college town, which means the cops are waiting at the end of all apartment parking lots to find anyone who might be driving under the influence, which is a good thing. They're more out to protect you from yourself and others than get you in trouble. Most of them seem to be nice guys. Parties do get busted though, so just be smart and plan ahead.

The Best
Everything about food at VT is incredible. You can get virtually any sort of food you want and it will be delicious. There's a huge variety and the quality is excellent. I've never met a person who didn't love the food here. The prices are all reasonable; it's really not hard to keep on track with your meal plan. There's almost always a dining hall open because the last one closes at 2 am.
