Come Prepared to Work

The workload, known to students as the "Rochester Workload" is all but easy. Depending on their major, each student knows how much time per day they must put in to succeed. Homework is abundant and exams are frequent, meaning anybody who slacks off WILL be left behind in the dust. However, there is a lot of help offered. Professors, teaching assistants, and tutors are readily available at your convenience. The professor quality varies, but the majority of them are excellent.

Off-Campus Housing at University of Rochester

Off-Campus Housing Is Available, but Your Job to Find!

I see upperclassmen who live off campus commute back and forth, but I don't know where exactly they go. The Riverview Appartments are across the river from the main campus, but other than that the housing options available in the area remain very ambiguous.

Diversity at University of Rochester

A-

All Kinds of People Here

For a small campus located in a small city, the diversity of the student body is impressive. Students of all ethnicities interact with one another, campus gays and straights get along, and the possibility to practice your own religion exists. Many international students, mainly from China, but also from many parts of Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America go here.
