Facilities
I am very content with the facilities we have here at UT. Everything here is relatively new and up-to-date excluding Plant Hall, which has its own retro appeal (Plant Hall is a national landmark and formerly a hotel in like 1907, and the university bought it and has of course expanded but there are still some introductory classes in this building). I am most excited about the athletic center that is currently being constructed and expected to be finished by the fall of 2012. The library is mediocre; has everything you need, but nothing more (I rarely go there).

Dorming...
There are a lot of options for dorms here at UT, but little availability. If you plan on going here or considering it, APPLY FOR HOUSING ASAP, or else you may end up living in the Howard Johnson Hotel off of campus, and one can imagine the inconveniences with that. I am pleased with dorming here, although it is a little pricey (costing over $2,000 A SEMESTER), the dorms are verrryy nice (excluding the bedding, get some kind of memory foam mattress cover). There are some outdated dorms though, and you can't enjoy the luxuries of the on campus apartments as an underclassman, so it is imperative that you apply early. Stadium, Vaughn, and Austin are the only real options for first year students.

Girls...
There are sooo many good looking girls here... it is almost ridiculous. There are a few stuck up girls and there are a lot of girls that are apart of sororities, but it is safe to say that there is a girl and half for every guy here at UT.

Weather..
I went to the beach (which is a half hour to 45 minutes away depending on how fast you drive) the weekend before Thanksgiving, and it seems to be a consistent upper 70 degrees here. It does get a little hot during the summer, but it's easy to escape into air-conditioning.

Tampa City
Okay, I love it here, I actually get a little upset when I have to go home to Charlotte for break. The things I enjoy most here would be: Ybor City (similar to Charleston, it is a colonial town adorned with bars and clubs), Clearwater Beach, Channelside Outdoor Mall, and the International Mall. I love having access to the skyline view from almost anywhere on campus. There are some sketchy areas and there are a considerable amount of homeless people though...

Computers
The computer labs here are pretty awesome. There is always a computer available to you, and they are relatively new. There are at least three places I know of where there are an abundance of computers; however, scanning a document is a little more difficult to do here, because there are less machines.

Frats aren't very big here. Sororities seem to have a bigger impact. There is typically a frat party every week; but they aren't in the typical frat houses one pictures. Some are kind of in the ghetto. I don't know too much about the frats, if I were in one, I would be more help

Nightlife
I have insomnia, so I have spent many nights wandering around the city of tampa, on the weekends it seems like there is no closing time. Ybor City is usually the spot for clubs and some bars. There are some pretty cool bars all over the place down here, and there is an astonishing amount of underage drinking at these places... be careful.

Overall
Academics have been pretty easy. The Girls are great. Intramural Sports are pretty fun. The city is great. Professors usually are pretty cool (you have to check ratemyprofessor.com, it's incredibly accurate with that stuff). I love the campus and location. My only complaints are the alcohol charge I got (i wasn't in the room, I didn't drink, but people were drinking in my room, so I got "social hosting") and the administrative organization here is very sloppy.

Academics
This school seems to have a pretty good reputation. The workload is verryyyy manageable. It is easy to get tutors (there is a building full of tutors that students have access too) and professors always have office hours. It is just easy to forget that academics are a priority here.

Food
I love the food here. Students have access to everything. There is a very wide variety of types of food. There is a "meal exchange" system that allows students to eat at places like Dairy Queen and Chic-fil-a on campus. I actually seem to prefer the buffet style food I get from the cafeteria, it has actually allowed me to ease into a healthier lifestyle.

Drugs/Alcohol
Drugs and alcohol might be a little too attainable here for my liking, and consequently I have seen a considerable amount of vomit. It also causes the disciplinary system to be a little more strict than i would like it to be (students have gotten kicked off campus on their first offense of alcohol, but those seem to be extreme cases and the individual usually talks the wrong way to the RA's or security). This is kind of a party school.. which depending on your opinion is a good or bad thing. I will say that students have the ability to surround themselves with whatever kind of people they want, however the majority of the population parties...

Housing
my friend has recently been kick out of campus housing and has been forced into getting an apartment down the road. It is very close. It is also gorgeous. I'm so jealous of his set up; however, it is kind of expensive, even after they split the rent between the three roommates.

Parking
our campus is relatively small... there are two parking garages located on opposite sides of campus. people complain when they are assigned a parking spot across campus away from their dorms, but it really isn't that far of a walk
