Bowdoin Trumps All Other
The freshmen dorms are awesome, especially Osher and West. People seem to think that upperclassmen housing aren't as good but that's only because we're so spoiled as freshmen. If you compare our upperclassmen housing to any other college dorms, you would still be extremely impressed. Almost every dorm has its own common room. Upperclassmen often have kitchens too, and their own bathrooms. You probably won't find that in other places...

Nice.
It's a well known fact our guys are gorgeous, considering most of them are athletes. However, the girls are starting to get prettier and prettier every year, probably because they realize that's where all the hot guys are. The guys and girls aren't your typical state school/west coast "hot," but that's because they're all very classy and New Englandy, especially when the sun comes out and the winter layers come off.

The Bowdoin B
There's a joke between students about "The Bowdoin B" because of how hard it is to get an A at Bowdoin. Of course, there are easy classes you can take to make your semester work load a little easier. However, the majority of classes are pretty tough. On the other hand, grad schools and such know how tough Bowdoin can be, so students don't really freak out too much when they can't seem to get better than a B- in a class.

Bowdoin Security is the best. We even have shirts with the face of our head of security on them, that's how much we love them. They're always watching out for the students, always polite, and some are really funny.

Athletes Are a Big Deal.
Our teams are doing really well in Division III. Athletics are also a pretty big deal on campus, as most of the parties you attend that aren't social houses are mostly sport teams parties. More than half of campus are engaged in either a varsity or club sport. If you are not involved in athletics however, you won't be shunned at all.
