Majoring in Biology and Biological Sciences

If Students Take the Opportunity – There is a good job prospect after graduation for students who take the opportunity in internships and other opportunities that allow students to interact with businesses and show them their knowledge and skills.
Good and Ok – Currently I am a biology major and am also working on an anthropology minor. The anthropology program is great and resourceful along with some great and knowledgeable teachers that have worked alittle in each aspect of anthropology along with having a terrific reputation in their own aspect of the feild. Because biology is such a diverse topic in science, I have yet to meet a teacher that has interests in my interests and that can show me my way. While the workload is demanding many of the topics are connected and just discussed a different way focusing on different aspects allowing me to learm them easier and better.
Not Too Bad – The library is great to find books though I feel a greater diversity is in order. At the resource desk, the fine ladies can help you find almost anything as long as it is a topic looked for often or occasionally. When asked to help with a topic off their course they tend to freeze and can not help as much as I would have liked.
Just a Few Hickups – While having your own computer and printer is handy, it is not required. The library has many computers to use with ease though there is sometimes a hickup with the network slowing up printing. While in an economic low, there is a limit to free printing. Unless printing slideshows forty pages long for every class all the time, this limit is seldom reached.
Teachers Must Be Teachers – While the teachers are great at what they do, many of them are not suited to be a teacher. Many topics they do not explain well after they feel as though that they had, much of what I learn I learn by myself with out the teachers help, and test questions have very little to do with class lectures. It is extremely hard to get a good grade in our classes even though there are small class sizes.
