Rain, Snow, Shine, We Got It All. You'll learn how to dress for any occasion, meaning you'll have a rain coat and you'll wear it... year around. It rains, and snows in the winter (though the city shuts down when it snows), it rains in the summer. But when the sun does come out, you'll remember why you picked Western. It is absolutely the most beautiful place in the world when it shines, the mountains, water, and city are awash with happy campers.

Great Mix of Students – As with any campus there is a great selection of looks, personalities, experiences of both female and male students. Though Western students do seem on the better looking side, they still are not a stand out campus. For the most part the girls are fairly fashionable, friendly, and overall a catch. The guys on the other hand for the most part seem to just want to hook up, and are shabby dressers.

White Middle Class – Coming from a very diverse area, I did not find Western that diverse. However my high school, and neighborhood featured a higher amount of ethnic, and economic diversity than found anywhere else in the Pacific Northwest.

Do Your Research – If you do your research on the company before you rent you should be fine, ask around, look online. Theres many different options, but most off campus apartment complexes are owned by a few rental companies. Renting houses is another option that generally is just as inexpensive as apartments, just make sure you again do your research. Most houses however are rented out by the owners, which is an added plus.

Beautiful Campus – State sponsered Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit livens up the campus, amusing statues such as the bear & man outside the library. The library features a Harry Potter Great Hall style room, complete with whale skin doors. Various coffee shops, smoothie stands and healthy food options spread throughout campus. Where you can fill up in between classes or perhaps before stopping by the state of the art recreation center, two levels with glass walls.
