Sports Aren't Huge Here
If you're looking for a school with huge fan support of sports teams... wash u isn't the school for you. Sure you can go to a game and have a lot of fun, but you're certainly not going to find a huge group tailgating before a football game. However, the men's and women's basketball teams are consistently at the top of the DIII rankings along with women's golf and volleyball.

A Different Kind of Greek Life
Greek life at Wash U is very different from the Greek life at other schools. It has a lot to do with the caliber of students at Wash U - we're all hard-working, smart, and there are few of the ditsy sorority girls. There are no sorority houses and you can be as involved or not involved as you like.

Options, Options, Options!
At Wash U, you can seriously do anything. You can be involved in faculty research as a freshman, jump right in to you major classes in your first semester, join and be able to actively participate in 3 different student groups...

Sometimes, you can forget that you're in St. Louis, Mo. when you're walking around WU. This is just outside the Bear's Den in the South 40, where most underclassmen eat and study.
