Plenty of Places to Eat, on the Card as Well.
There's plenty of places to eat off-campus which are on the card as well. A program Vanderbilt University has set up called Tastes in Nashville partners with different restaurants. Each semester, freshman students are allotted $200 in meal money which can be used for ordering online delivery take-out or for going to the different restaurants to eat.

Not Many Options to Get Off-Campus If You Don't Have Your Own Car.
It's not very convenient to get off-campus unless you have your own car. However, even then, you're paying outrageous prices per semester to have a parking spot on campus. The parking spot is far away from where you live normally. It's typically easier to just find a friend to give you rides.

Great Balance Between Work and Social Life.
This wasn't my top-choice school, but the financial aid package was far more generous than the other offers given to me. After a semester, the balance is great. You need to keep yourself focused and on-track. A 4.0 GPA is hard to get and the academics are actually pretty tough to keep up with (unlike your state university). If you know how to keep up the balance though, you can get 3.0+ GPA and have a ton of fun on the weekends with your friends.
