Facilities
There is a very big new gym that is nice, although I feel like it could have a few more machines (treadmills etc) because people often have to wait for them. The student center is okay but a bit dark and dated looking, I pass through it but I don't hang out there. Facilities at VCU in general range from new and nice, to older depending on your major. The Business school has a really nice new building but the English building is older. I wouldn't consider any of it bad, though.

Drugs
I don't do drugs so I know very little about the drug scene on campus. A lot of people smoke pot, but I don't notice it affecting school, it's just at parties or at home. Since the campus is an urban environment I'm sure plenty of people are doing more serious drugs, but I don't see it and it doesn't affect me.

Experience
There is always something going on in the city. We have an excellent basketball team. The main reason I'd choose to go to VCU all over again is more specific to my major than the overall university. As a graphic design major I go to the #4 school in my field at a reasonable price. Graphic design professors are well educated and active in their field.
