Diversity at University of Cincinnati

Diversity at UC

I feel that there is a wide range of diversity at UC, particularly seen in the graduate level. It also depends on what major your in, if it is Engineering than there are lots of international students. However, something like Nutrition tends to be a lot of white females. Overall UC does a good job at accepting others, with many ethnic student organizations on campus.

Transportation at University of Cincinnati

A-

UC Shuttle and Metro Bus

The UC shuttle system (FREE!) is pretty good and has a 'drunk' bus Thursday through Saturday that shuttles students to the surrounding neighborhoods. They also have lots of shuttles during the week, and if they are not running, the metro bus runs until the early morning hours. UC also offers Nightwalk a walk/ride system that you can call to escort or bring you home for free.

Overall Experience at University of Cincinnati

A-

Awesome

UC is great for anyone that likes a large urban environment. Yes, there are bad neighborhoods and certain areas you should not walk, but you gain street smarts from those experiences. It is a beautiful campus with lots of events on campus and around the city, you will never be bored.

Campus Housing at University of Cincinnati

C

Only If You Have to...

Most of the freshman dorms are dated, crowded (4 people to a small room), have frequent fire alarms and have been infested with cockroaches in the past. Not to mention they are expensive compared to the surrounding off campus area.

Off-Campus Housing at University of Cincinnati

A

Awesome

There are so so many places to live around UC, and much cheaper than on campus. Directly south of campus is were most undergrads live, and there tends to be more parties and theft in that area. There is also not much parking, but places are cheap. To the west of campus is alright, but the best is north of campus in the Clifton/gaslight area. This area is wonderful, no crime, lots of restaurants, shops, yoga studios and more.
