Multiple Options
There are several good options for transportation around campus (especially in the Tempe area). City buses and free shuttles, plus free campus and inter-campus shuttles. Late-night transportation can be a problem; most university transportation options stop at 10pm, city buses run until about midnight.

Summer Is Awful
The weather is nice, sometimes even cold, for about half the calendar year (october to march). But the rest of the year comes with varying degrees of hot and hotter. Avoid summer school at all costs, the temperature is insane (100+), and the Tempe campus is big enough to make you regret all the walking outdoors.
