How to Buy Friends and Alienate People
It's sad when the best thing you can say about greek life is free booze because that is really all that it is. When you go to greek parties or something like that all you see is booze, no dancing just booze. It's nothing all that great when you take all things into consideration but in the end even the fraternity brothers don't like each other. They tend to talk trash behind each others backs and about each other and each fraternity has their own stereotypes which they take pride in. The alcoholic fraternity, the fraternity of douchebags, the video game fraternity, the hard drugs fraternity, the rich white fraternity, the racist fraternity and so forth. After a little while, it becomes cliques that you pay for and use to alienate other people that you are with. Sure greek life gets you some places and can help you on occasion but as I see it only on occasion.

Making an Example
An alcoholic campus with an engineering problem. That's tech's motto. But the sad thing is that no one takes any action for it. It's always the kids who get in trouble once at the wrong time who get the real beating whereas all the fraternity brothers and big troublemakers/boozehounds/ stoners never really get anything of the sort. They make a big deal of little issues to make an example of a student on occasion but then completely forget about everyone else or don't bother about anyone else until another example has to be made.
