Variety Is the Spice of Life

Downtown Morgantown is composed of multiple resturants and party scenes. Although I do not live downtown, bus transportation and PRT transportation are the best ways to get there. Lining the street of High Street are mltiple resturants ranging from a quaint cafe to the rowdy sports bars. There is at least one resturant on each corner. High Street is a great place for variety and fun. The resturants are fun, familiar and also delicious.

Home Away from Home

As a freshmen at WVU, I currently live on campus. Originally I lived at Fieldcrest which is not the nicest of dorms. I constantly had to walk back and forth from my dorm to the cafeteria and to see my friends. I made good friends at Fieldcrest but living in a converted nursing wasn't my ideal living space. In my second semester I transferred to Lincoln which is basically a hotel. The people are nice and I have made many new friends. The other dorms on the Evansdale Campus where I live is Towers which is composed of Lyon, Brooke, Bennet and Braxton. These rooms are nice as well but towers' dorms are community bathrooms compared to suite bathrooms. The directors of the dorms are helpful. There is always someone who can help you find what you need. The Towers'dorms and Lincoln Hall are convient when getting any place on the Evansdale campus since everything is almost in walking distance. Fieldcrest Hall is a little out of the way but you can still walk to places. I have never been lived in the downtown dorms but everyone I know who lives downtown, loves it. WVU makes an effort to make your dorm home away from home.

Time of Your Life

Although WVU is labeled as a party school, it can be more than that. I am not into the partying scene but I enjoy hanging out with my fiends. I am currently in the colorguard for the Pride of West Virginia Marching Band. I have made some of my best friends while participating in band. When the season is over, my friends I do not go out and party but we hang with each other. You can go to the Mountainlair and watch free movies. Typically the Moutainlair host WVUp all night which hosts a variety of activities such as inflatable laser tag. We sometimes travel to high street to go to Coldstone or Jimmy Johns for late night snacks. Don't let all the partying get to you because that is the best way to flush your college education down the drain. WVU host a wide of variety of fun activities, all you have to do is look for them.
