Don't Bring a Car.
Parking is bad. Don't bring a car if at all possible. Only bring a car if you have your own place off-campus with a parking space, and that only happens your senior year (and very rarely as a junior). You really don't need a car anyway, generally speaking.

Financial Aid, Can't Speak Generally.
I'm middle-class. I got a weak evaluation after I got accepted, which I appealed successfully for somewhat better aid. All in all it ended up being okay. Then, the next year, it was just as bad as the first time. My family's gross income went down, but my FA got worse. I don't know what to make of it, but I can tell you is that they'll try and work with you. Being middle class here is tough, though.
