Always Available and Not Far Away but Hills – Parking is never a problem and comparatively to most campuses, close to dorms however, SBC is in the mountains and thus there are a lot of stairs especially down to the parking lots.

Easy Process, Not as Much Money as You Woul Want – Working with offices is SBC is the easiest you will find. However, it is a pricey school and there is not as much financial aid and scholarship money given as easily or at the magnitude most probably would desire. Thus, this aspect takes some planning but as far as SBC goes, they will do anything to help and I have heard of certain cases when they have helped people in cases beyond what large universities would have done.

WOMENS COLLEGE – So, it is hard to answer this question because I don't really know how to judge girls the way this question is asking but this is a woman's college so, no guys are students. However, you will be far from male deprived. Sweet Briar is close to colleges with men at them to along with our all-male counterpart Hampden-Sydney College. To be honest about the girls and guys at each though, there is not to much verity if you look at this schools at face value. Most HSC guys and SBC girls are preppy and even if they aren't Greek, they can be described as such. When you get to know people personally is when you find the real diversity at our schools. I never thought I would end up in or enjoy a women's college but I do a lot and I have a lot of male friends too. People who come to SBC and HSC are from all over and all have there own stories which is what I love. A lot of girls are dating guys from HSC, VMI, JMU, etc. Social life wise we do not have many bars to go to and there are not clubs and such or well none you want to go to that are close by. We do have boathouse parties though (which guys attend) and most people hold their own parties or go to frats or cities with night lifes. Also, you can get away with ANYTHING at sbc. There are NO rules and you will find more freedom here then anywhere else (I won't get into specifics). When I attended a large state university, everyone was not very personable and didn't stray away from their own click and were all the same. The all girls factor will probably be listed as a down side for most people but despite popular belief, there is no more added drama or more homosexuals then any other school. So if your looking to get out of where you are in life and take a chance some where new, I dare you to consider SBC.

Sweet Briar is beautiful but it is in the foot hills of Virginia. There are four true seasons. It will be sunny, it will get colder, the leaves change colors, it will snow, it will get warm again. Rain will come and go frequently and randomly. Also, really intense wind storms will come through now and again. The weather can be a positive or a negative depending on what your thing is. I like it but if you don't like weather changes, this would be a down side.

No Restrictions and Always Available – There is free printing always. Sweet Briar has two printers that will do color and the rest are black and white. There is at least one lab in every academic building and they are never full. If anything happens to break there is always another lab close by to go to and computer services will fix any reported problem immediately. Sweet Briar is also always trying to better they're technology and so our internet works fast and well most of the time. Sometimes when a lot of people are on in the evening it will get slower but not painfully and if you are up at 3 or 4 in the morning it will go in and out if the internet is being worked on. Emails warning students about this are usually sent out before this occurs though.
