A Lot of Great Restaurants!
Dallas has the more restaurants per capita then any other city, and I believe it! There are restaurants everywhere, and every type of food you can think of. There hundreds of chains, small cafe's, all the way to four star steak-houses all within a number of miles from campus. Some near-by fast food chains like jimmy johns and pizza hut will deliver to your dorm, which is great when you're tired and have to study a lot. Prices of each restaurant also range greatly. I use D magazine to find great restaurants because there are too many here to choose from!!!

Dorms Are Dorms.
Although Dorms are still dorms, SMU's housing is not too bad. It is clean and most building get taken care of really well, if not there is consequences for the residents such as fines. There are suite bathrooms as well as community. I know currently they are thinking about even building more new dorm halls.

Beware of Where You Park!
Parking is limited as it is and Park'n'Pony is everywhere! They are always around in their golf cart checking to make sure cars are where they are suppose to be and if they aren't you will get a ticket. Get enough tickets or don't move your car? They will put a boot on it! But I would still say bring your car to campus, Dallas is a city you should get out and explore.
