Having never lived on campus I can not give a thorough review. I have never felt unsafe on campus, and the neighborhood is very good.

Off Campus
Stick around campus and be disappointed. Students here suck, they don't know how to drink, and are forced to hook up with ugly people (we have a very ugly student body) at frat parties.
However, if you grab a few friends and head in to town you will have a good time. DC is packed with bars and clubs. Some places make it very easy for underaged to drink also; Hawk and Dove just requires an ID that says someone is over 21, not necessarily you.

Ugly
They're where the campus-are parties are. Whether or not they are fun I do not know. Most AU people are ugly so I avoid AU parties.

Great Professors
Where AU really shines is the quality of professors. Active in their fields, AU professors are generally ble to give students a view from both the practical and academic sides of an issue. Every school has its bad professors, but the good ones go far beyond expectation.
