A Walking Distance from Great Shopping and a Bus Ride Away from Baltimore
It is important to realize that Goucher is not in Baltimore as it's address suggests. It is in fact in Towson which is actually a nice town with some attractions of its own. Towson has several grocery stores within walking distance, including a Trader Joe's, many ethnic restaurants, and of course the Towson Town Center which is the largest mall in Maryland. It is possible to take the collegetown shuttle into Baltimore for free, but be warned: it is liable to be late or fail to arrive at scheduled times.

We've got lots of computers for student use and you can even rent a laptop if yours gets lost/stolen/broken etc. However, the wireless connection leaves a bit to be desired, especially in dorm rooms. But we've got excellent connection in academic buildings, the library, and the common rooms. Also there are ethernet hook ups in all the dorm rooms which helps.

If You Want to You Can Generally Find Stuff
Parties on campus aren't a big thing. The school is getting better about holding dances and such events on weekends after complaints. It is easy to find things to do off campus if you want to make the effort. There are also lots of bars in Towson and The Latin Palace is a popular club with Goucher students in Baltimore
