The Jew of CC: the Block Plan
As a student who never really loved dividing his attention between classes, I consider CC's Block Plan to be a godsend. Being able to devote myself to solely one subject makes learning fun and managable. Futhermore, the Block Plan is fantastic for taking occasional class field trips and for studying abroad.
However, the Block Plan does calls for lucubration every once in a while, but that's an important skill to have anyway. Besides, no matter how hard a particular class is, all one has to do is survive 3.5 weeks of it.

Spanish and Biology at CC
Before coming to CC, I heard all sorts of complaints about how the Block Plan is no good for languages and sciences since these subjects supposedly take lots of time to learn. Albeit being quite solicitous to major in these areas, I ended up coming to CC. I soon learned that CC has a fantastic biology program and that its Spanish program is not bad at all. Both will give students copious opportunities to take learning to the next level through ventures such as independent research and study abroad.
In concern to the myth about languages and sciences being impossible to learn on the Block Plan, I think the notion is a farce. If anything, the total immersion makes learning these subjects easier. The key is to master learning quickly, which, if you are not good at it already, the Block Plan will MAKE you good at it.
