Brick, Brick, and More Brick.
USC is known for their fancy brick buildings. Most of them are pretty nice and some of them are fairly new. A brand new athletic center is being built right now. The student center has several dining options and is a good place to just hang out. There are tons of activities going on on campus every day and the campus is a beautiful place despite the area around it.

USC to Downtown Is About It
USC offers transits from campus to places like LA Live on weekends and to Union Station on weekdays for free They also offer a campus cruiser that will take you within a 2 mile radius of the campus for free. LA city buses suck and are expensive, so getting further off campus is pretty hard to do unless you have a car.

Typical Admission Process
I just had to fill out the applications for both USC in general and the Thornton school of music. Both were pretty painless and asked for what most schools ask for. I did not have to play an instrument or audition to get into the Music Industry program for the Bachelor of Science, but you do have to if you want to get a Bachelor of Music degree. The music industry program at SC is pretty exclusive. I know several people who put it down as their first choice and ended up getting their second choice or getting accepted as an undecided major. However, I didn't have any previous music industry experience. I mostly got in on good high school grades and good essays.
