Costly, but Worthwhile Experience
As a freshman who must live on campus, I do feel that Dartmouth holds a monopoly on our dorming fees. It costs the same for two people in a double as it does for a person in a single, so a double is basically worth twice the rent in the single, and a triple is worth three times, although the square feet area of the rooms are not proportional to the price. However, when living in dorms, floormates are bound to become close like family, and it is a wonderful feeling to bond with everyone and have a solid set of friends that will be there no matter what.

Diversity Melting Pot
I have met so many people from different walks of life. Everyone on campus is very open minded to people who may not be the same as them. In this way, no one is afraid of expressing him or herself.

Open, Fun, Crazy
Because Hanover is a college town, the parties exist in the Greek system. It is extremely fun because the fraternities and sororities receive funding and housing. Each house has its own building to hold parties. There is almost something going on every day of the week, and everything is so open because they email everyone with a Dartmouth email address regarding parties. Lots of people can get super crazy and it's all good fun. The next day, the guy you might be dancing with the night before will be studying his butt off in the library stacks.
